Gin' se
(MOLLY)

11/19/08: Molly, Dolly, and Charlie came from an abusive situation in Alabama. They were very malnourished and afraid of people. They had been in a pen with adult Dachshunds and were getting very little food or water. Animal Control took all the dogs and these came to us. We estimate that they are about 10 weeks old.

GIN' SE
(MOLLY)

Molly is a cute little apricot dilute pup with pricked ears. She is very loving and will cuddle and give kisses as long as you will hold her. She is the friendliest of the three and it appears that she will stay very small. She only weighs about 6 lbs. She has the cutest eyes that look right into your heart.
11/30/08 - ADOPTION PENDING - Molly will be going to her new home on 12/6/08, and her new name will be Gin' se (Chinese for Golden Hair) - Jin for short.

12/6/08: LIttle Jin is in her new home tonight. I'm sure she's missing her brother and sister, but she'll soon learn how much Dave and Jan love her and she has three kitties to play with, too.

12/7/08:

Gin' se looks a little afraid in the picture, but you can see how much her new parents adore her already.

12/7/08: Hi Cindy,

I just wanted to give you an update on Jin and thank you once again for making her a member of our family. She did really well yesterday. On her first walk she took to the leash very well like a champ. She stays right beside or behind me with no tugging or pulling. She requires very little correction. She is doing well with her house training too. She has only had one accident and that wasn't entirely her fault. It took us a minute to realize she was telling us she needed to go out. She doesn't bark or whine, she just goes over and sniffs at the door when she needs to go out. She is adjusting to the cats. Neiko is tolerating her and even starting to play. Sam is still not too sure about her but is finally beginnging to relax a bit today. She only cried briefly at bedtime last night. When she started, Dave gave her her toy squirrel and she settled down with it and went to sleep.

Jin had a very busy day today. After church, we took her up to the Pet Co. in Murfreesboro. She road very well, sleeping most of the way there and back. She was apprehensive about going into the store but once in, she knew she was the star of the day. Everyone had to come up and pet her. I spread the word about Shar-pei Rescue and told anyone who asked that Jin has a brother who is looking for a home. I will be setting up a facebook account for Jin and was wondering if it would be ok if I included a link to the Shar-pei Rescue. Maybe it will help spread the word about the other dogs needing homes.

We have noticed one "issue" with her though. She seems to be wary of men. She came right up to women today but not men. She will come to me with no problem, but hesitates to go to Dave. Do you know if she had a negative experience with a man? I know she will warm up to Dave with time, but if I knew what happened to her it would help us to help reassure her and make her more comfortable around men.

I'll keep you updated on Jin. I've included some pictures we've taken of her.

God bless,
Janet

Isn't Jin sweet?

12/14/08: Cindy, Jin is doing very well. She has a favorite toy, our older cat Neiko. Jin was well named, she loves to romp and play 1st thing in the morning. She is warming up to me. She has already accepted the crate. During the day, Jin will go into the crate and sleep even when she doesn't have to. She is great on walks, a little afraid of visitors. She is eating well. Dr. Helton will be coming by on Tuesday to give Jin her boosters, and a checkup. Janet and I are in love with her, I think she kinda likes us to! Thanks, Dave

Would you say this little girl is spoiled???

1/4/09: This little girl is a real character. I got to visit her today when I placed her new sister, Zhou zhen. Here are some pictures.
