MISCHA

7/20/07: Mischa is a wonderful companion. She loves to be right beside "her" person and will follow this person from room to room to make sure they reach their destination safely. She is very curious about her surroundings and will sniff every nook and corner before making herself at home. Naturally friendly, she loves other dogs and will share toys and couch space without a fuss.

Mischa is learning not to be overly anxious about food. It is apparent ,at one time, she went days without food. Presently, she needs to eat alone.

Mischa will make a wonderful pet. She is full of life, has a sense of humor, and is a great pal for long walks. She knows how to scratch at the door if she needs to go out and learns routines quickly. She is also crate trained. This is a smart girl.

This cream colored pei has a wonderfully exotic, flowered muzzle. She weighs about 55 pounds and is estimated to be around 8 months old. Mischa has some skin issues that will hopefully be cleared up with a good diet and baths. Right now she looks pretty rough, but it won't take long before she has a full beautiful coat.

Mischa will make someone very happy.

8/22/07: This is Mischa, Bruno, and their new parents, Michael and Jamie. Oh, let's not forget the 2 cats hiding from the camera! Bruno is also a new addition to the family. His story goes like this: I received a call from a woman saying a small brown Shar-Pei followed her home from her walk, and if I did not take him, she would take him to the pound. I was filled to the gills. The only thing I could do was to make a phone call to my trusty foster mom to see if she could help. The dog was only minutes from her house. Imagine our surprise when what we saw was not a Shar-Pei at all!  She could not let him be sent to the pound, so she took him in.
She asked  Jamie if she would baby-sit until she could locate his parents, which she knew would be hard because he was not wearing a collar and was not micro chipped. Michael had always wanted a Husky, but after 3 days of tail wagging and shaking the crate so hard at the sight of seeing Michael,  Michael decided that if the owner was not found, he wanted to keep him.

Jamie was already in the adoption process for Mischa, so she knew what she what the outcome would be if she was approved - a full house!

Three weeks later, here comes Mischa! Bruno and his new sister are the best of buddies. Jamie and Michael are very proud parents as you can see from the photo. They truly have hearts of gold, and we know Mischa and Bruno will be very happy with them.
Thank you Michael and Jamie.
