Look at this handsome fellow!
His name is Li and he has been with us before. Li was placed in
a home in September 2002. Since then the couple has divorced and
Li was living with his dad. Now his dad has remarried and moved
to a new home and decided Li should be an outside dog. Li didn't
react positively to that change - as well he shouldn't have!
Li is a beautiful black brushcoat with a big smushy
face. He's well behaved and good with other dogs. He's healthy,
current on vaccinations, neutered and on heartworm prevention.
Li is a wonderful pet and loves to be around people.

UPDATE
11/13/05: Li went to his new home on Saturday and he is adjusting
very well. Larry and Mona love him so much and, I'm sure the feeling
is mutual. He's already spoiled rotten!
Larry and
Mona lost their precious Bubba to bloat several days before getting
Li. The hole in their hearts was just to big - they had to fill
it right away. Li fit the bill. While Li will never replace Bubba,
he has plenty of love to give just like Bubba did.

7/22/08:
Cindy, I’m so sorry I don’t stay in touch more.
Larry and I both look at the website regularly – sometimes
daily. Sophie and Li are doing wonderful. They are
both getting a little older and have slowed down some, but they
are relatively healthy (Shar Pei fever, you know). They
have a wonderful life with us, and we have a wonderful life because
of them.
I read over the 10 commandments
(and cried like a baby), but felt joy in knowing that all of our
pets, both here and gone on, have been given the best life we
could possibly give them. Larry and I, like you and lots
of other pet owners I know, feel like we have 2 kids – not
2 dogs – in fact, we call them our “kids.”
They are one of the biggest and best parts of our lives.
Keep up your wonderful
work with our beloved Shar Pei. Mona
3/12/09: Very sad news
today. Li passed away from renal failure. He had been sick for
a short time and Mona and Larry kept him going until they knew
his quality of life wasn't good. They helped him cross the Rainbow
Bridge today. They are devastated by the loss and so is little
Sophie, Li's devoted sister.
