Bonnie (formerly JJ)

1/5/09: JJ has found herself without a home because her owner is very ill. Her owner's sister was taking care of JJ, but decided it was going to be too long of a job. JJ's owner has been in the hospital for several weeks, has several more to go, then to rehab.

The sister took JJ to Fulton County Animal Control to turn her in. They would not take JJ because she was not the owner. The Animal Control Officer had a feeling she was going to dump JJ. He went outside to watch her drive away, and down the street a block or so, she opened the door and pushed JJ out.

After a couple of hours, the AC Officer was able to catch poor frightened JJ. He named her Jackie Joiner, because she is so fast. We have shortened it to JJ.
Finally, the owner was gotten in contact with and she signed over JJ.

Everyone who has met JJ loves her. She is a sweet, well behaved girl.
She is house trained and loves to play with the other dogs. JJ is a fawn horsecoat and is 2 1/2 - 3 years old. She is spayed and has had all her vaccinations.

JJ has heartworms and will begin treatment on January 19. She won't be ready for adoption until the end of March, but she'll be well worth the wait!

Check back often to see how JJ is progressing.

1/18/09: JJ has a sponsor. Now that Isaiah and Charity are getting a new home, their sponsor, Rebekah, wants to sponsor JJ. Yea!! Thank you, Rebekah.

5/15/09: Miss Bonni is in her new home in Dalton GA. Nancy and Jerry are thrilled with her and she with them. We'll have pictures of Bonni and her new family real soon.

7/7/09: Bonni is great, will have her heart worm test within a couple of weeks, I'll let you know results. It's as if she has been with us for years instead of months. She has settled right in, and she is a wonderful dog. We really needed her, more than we knew. Nancy
