FROSTEE
(formerly Freckles)

Freckles - He is awesome, very very, very affectionate and loves a lot of attention, he loves to run, he doesn't mind going out in the rain. He is very sweet, very laid back and gets a long great with other dogs except dalmations. Strange.

Freckles is house broken and will stay in a crate but only after being very vocal for about 15 minutes. He doesn't mind sleeping in the crate as long as the door is left open.

He loves milk bones and waggling tails chicken jerky!

Freckles is heartworm positive but will start treatment right after Thanksgiving! Soon after the HW treatment he will be neutered and have entropion.

10/16/07: Freckles (now Frostee) is in his new home in Maryville TN. He has 3 human sisters and one pei sister, SeSe. Picture coming soon.

10/19/07: Frostee had his first day with SeSe while we were all out of the house and he did great. No one tried to break out or poop in the basement. I really think that everything worked out for the best. Elvis seems happy and Frostee is alot more laid back which suits our house just great. It has been easy giving him his medicine and he slept through the night just fine. We wish the best for elvis. Do you think that you will keep him?   Sean

11/8/07: We couldn't be happier with Frostee. He is great. His eyes are healing nicely and his ears are clearing up. I only have to clean them twice a week and he is good to go. I think that he is losing a little weight and getting a little bit of pep in his step. According to his records, he is due his rabies shot this month, so i will take him in for an evaluation. We may have to get his teeth cleaned because his breath isn't the freshest.

All in all, it worked out for the best for all concerned because we love Frostee very much and he seems to love it here. The girls love to pet him and he will sit there all day long and let them.  Sean

12.20/08: Cindy, it is with a great deal of sadness that i have to bring you this news, but Frostee died last night. Just yesterday he was doing great and we took him in for what I thought was a routine vet visit. He was to have his teeth cleaned, but because of advanced gum disease, the vet had to remove 6 teeth. She also informed me that he needed another entropion surgery and that he had developed a mass which had lead to the formation of anal fistulas. She also performed another heart worm test and found that Frostee still had the antigen for heart worms, but still no larvae which surprised her. With all that being
said, I was told that everything was routine and that he was just a little groggy from the anesthesia. He came home without incident, drank alot of water and went to sleep. I woke up around 3 am and went in to check on him and when I saw him I had a bad feeling. It is currently 3:20 am and I am trying to figure a way to get him out of the house before the young
girls see him. I will ask the vet what she thinks happened, but right now I am out of answers as this is the first dog that has died. I'm sorry to relay this info to you as i am really sad right now. frostee was a great dog and I will miss him greatly. Sean

Later today Sean called back to say that his vet did a necropsy on Frostee and found that he had advanced liver disease. Sean, Marie and their three little girls loved Frostee and they will miss him terribly. The younger ones, ages 3 and 4, think that Frostee is with Santa Claus and are sure that he is very happy there. The older daughter understands what happened. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers during this holiday season. Cindy
