BILLIE JOE

Billie Jo is a 2 year old spayed female Shar Pei. She is a fawn horse with a huge meat mouth. She weighs 42 lbs.

Poor Billie Jo was found tied outside in the snow and ice, her feet swollen from contact with the freezing concrete. Apparently she had been left there for quite a while.

UPDATE 2/9/05 I received word today from a lady who had Billie Jo in her rescue program a couple years ago when the owner thought she was moving to Scotland. Well, she didn't move, so she came back for Billie Jo. Apparently, she finally did move and instead of putting Billie Jo back into rescue, she gave her away to someone who didn't care enough to give her a decent home.

Don't you think Billie Jo deserves a second chance at a loving home? We do. Can you help?

UPDATE 3/9/05: Billie Jo is one lucky girl. She was being fostered in North Carolina  As luck would have it, my parents were in Greenville SC, only 60 miles  from where Billie Jo was being fostered by a very special foster mom Vicky, when the home visit was done and Brenda's application was approved. They picked Billie Jo up on Monday morning and drove her all the way here. Tuesday morning, I drove to Nashville and met Brenda who drove from Memphis. And get this, Brenda's previous pei that she dearly loved, was named Shelley Jo. Now isn't that too coincidental? This adoption was just meant to be. Thanks, Brenda, for giving Billie Jo a second chance!

2/7/2010: Cindy,
Long time no see!  I took this pic this morning with my phone and sent it to my daughter,Lisa, she said I should sent it to you! As you can see my girl is quite cozy these chilly days !! She is so adorable! She is also snoring to high heaven. HAPPY NEW YEAR Brenda, Billie Jo and crew

2/10/2010: Cindy, Hope you are well. Billie Jo is well and seems to love me above all others ! Even adorable grandson! I know she looks as tho she has passed, but far from it. She has me trained quite well. She sleeps in my kitchen and we had been going in and out and my feet felt cold from door opening , so I gently spread a throw over her and she never moved a whisker!! I am so bad at corresponding and I do apologize.  I always read and enjoy your updates! God bless and keep you as you guard our smaller beings. Brenda
