Pooh Bear

6/19/09: Hi there! I am Pooh! I am a very sweet and gentle 4 year old male who needs a good permanent home! My foster family was nice enough to get me out of the pound and has given me an awesome place to stay for now. They got me bathed my very first day (said I was pretty dirty) and I have a new crate and pillow and toys to play with also. I get along well with other dogs, since I was with 3 or 4 at the pound. I am also gentle with children since they are so close to my size. I am not too sure of loud noises right now - I am still a little scared, but I think that will change when I am in my forever home and things become a little more natural for me. If you would like any more info on me - just email Cindy and she will get you anything you need!

I'll be getting my eyes fixed in a week or so and then I'll feel so much better. I guess the people who had me before didn't know how painful they are or maybe they didn't care.

I've had all my vaccinations and I will be neutered on 7/2/09. I'm really a very nice boy that needs a family who will love me and give me a safe place to live

This is really my new bone! 9/20/09

7/2/09: Isn't he a handsome boy and his coloring is really unusual.

9/23/2010: All I can say is thank goodness for microchips. Apparently Pooh's owner moved to a place where she couldn't take him so she had somebody else keeping him supposedly, which we all know is against the conditions of our adoption contract. Anyway, Pooh was picked up by Animal Control. We are so glad they scanned him for a microchp or else we might not have known that he had been running loose for at least 3 days. It took some doing, but because the microchip was registered in my name, animal control let us have him so he didn't have to stay the mandatory 5 days. Pooh is very thin, but what a good boy he is. I think he remembers being here because he ran right out the pet door to see what was going on outside.

Pooh needs his forever home and you better believe, we will make sure it's the perfect home. He's been jerked around enough! We're really sorry this happened to you, Pooh.

10/30/2010: Well, that didn't take long. What I mean is that it didn't take long for a great family to adopt this sweet boy. Pooh has a new Pei sister, Sifu, and his new dad, Anthony, and mom, Tina. Way to go, Pooh. You deserve the great life you'll have in Georgia with your new family.

1/8/2011: Pooh is doing just fine. Seems we had to not crate him at all so now both dogs have the run of the house when we are not home and he seems happier that way. It didn't matter to Sifu, she likes her crate. She'll just go in there and sit sometimes. But, once we adapted to his not liking the crate at all, things are going much smoother, i'm talking tons and he is putting on a little weight so he is looking even healthier. I think that we were afraid that he'd chew up stuff if we gave him that much freedom but he doesn't do that. He's a good dog and we love him. I just hate that it took us a few weeks to understand what he needed.Thank you for your concern and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family.
Respectfully,Tina and Anthony.
