5/12/09: Look at this face! Isn't he adorable? This is Hutch. And what a good boy he is. Hutch is 14 months old and a happy boy. Hutch is partial to men, loves kids and chases cats. We're pretty sure he gets along with other dogs, but will know more in a couple days when we've had the chance to introduce him to the guys in his foster home. Hutch is a cream dilute horsecoat neutered male. Hutch is current on his vaccinations and is neutered. He's a big boy - about 60 pounds. He has had some skin issues, but they are clearing up nicely. Who knows what he had been eating before coming to us? A good diet will have him on the mend in no time.
5/26/09: Hutch is doing great! He loves playing with all the other dogs and as you can see in the pictures below, he's a pretty laid back guy. Not many Pei lie on their backs willingly.
Check out Hutch's videos. Click here. And here.
5/31/09: Hutch may have bad knees. We'll get that checked out this week and if he needs surgery we'll have that done before he is adopted.
6/7/09: Not good news for Mr. Hutch. He has two bad rear legs. The doctor doesn't think he can fix them, so for the time being, we're treating him with Glucosamine and Adequan injections. We're really hoping this keeps him going for a good long while. He's such a nice dog. He doesn't deserve this. He sure doesn't act like anything's wrong with him. He runs so fast and plays so hard. He'll make the family who adopts him very happy.
6/16/09: Hutch and Woody love playing together. Check out this video.
6/29/09: Hutch found a frog! This was hilarious to watch. Click here to see the video. Below are the still pictures.
8/2/09: Update on Hutch's knees. Hutch is taking Glucosamine daily and has gotten a series of injections to help his knees. I believe they are a little stronger.
We walk about 5-10 minutes a day and I think that has helped to strengthen them, too. Not sure what is going on with Hutch and the other dogs. He's snapped at a couple of them. I think maybe there were just too many around him at the same time. He seems to be fine with 1 or 2, but more and he gets aggitated. Won't you give Hutch a chance to have his own home. We know his knees are a problem, but he is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. He just wants to be loved.
Hutch is enjoying his bone while waiting on his new family. Now that's one scary picture, but, hey, it's Halloween! 10/31/09: Trick or treat! This sweet, sweet boy met Ron and Millie at the door wagging his tail and wiggling so much he could hardly stand up. It was love at first sight, that's for sure - on both accounts. Ron couldn't get over what a great personality Hutch has. Before they left going back to Georgia, Ron had Hutch lying on his back for belly rubs. What a great day for Hutch!
Millie called after they had been home for a while to say that Hutch did great on the ride home and he was checking everything out. His new sister, the Maltese, was barking at him almost non-stop; his other sister, the Clumber Spaniel, was following his every step. This is one happy family! |
