Hudson

7/11/09: This handsome boy is Hudson. Hudson came to us from a rescue group in Florida that is having to close it's doors because of illness to the owner.

Hudson is a beautiful cream neutered male. He is a sweetheart and so good with other dogs. He is crate trained and house trained and is completely vetted. He is almost totally blind in his left eye, but that doesn't seem to bother him except that he gets startled if you approach him on his blind side when he can't hear you. For this reason, we think he would do best in a home without small children.

Hudson knows how to sit and sit/down and he loves playing with a tennis ball. He is so smart.

Hudson is ready for his forever home.

Are we there yet?

8/13/09: Well, this pretty boy is in his new home near Memphis. It was a little rocky at first because he was stressed; but once he got to the house, he was fine. He's checking everything out and getting used to his new surroundings. He and Gretchen are sniffing each other, but haven't played yet. That time will come soon, I'm sure.

Thanks, Jeff and Diana, for giving Hudson a wonderful new home.

8/15/09: Hi Cindy. Well, its Saturday morning and things are going good. Hudson and Gretchen probably went outside about 10 times from the time i got home from work til 8 or so when i called it a night. I think Gretchen must have told Hudson that they get milkbones everytime they come in. At least that's what it seemed. Every time they came back in they looked up at the milkbone box. They've been playing for a second or two. Hudson learned real quick. He slept good last night. Didn't hear a peep out of him. He slept on the floor at the end of our bed. I tried to show him a quilt next to my side of the bed but he wasn't interested. Thursday night he lifted his leg and peed on our armoire but i figured he smelled the puppy peepee and i sure hadnt had time to shampoo the carpet. This morning i came in here to email you and he lifted his leg on a pair of my work slacks i had laying over the chair. Im not sure if he was telling me he hates Target or what..lol Anyway i took the pants and he smelled them and i said no no and the look on his face told me he knew it was a bad thing and i let him outside again. I guess hes marking his spots. Anyway im shampooing the carpets today so that may help also. Diana

8/16/09: I wish you could have seen them this morning.... They were playing so hard i had to send them outside. Then Gretchen started ripping around our picnic table with Hudson trying to keep up. It was hilarious!!!!!!!!! Diana

8/30/09: Hi Cindy Just wanted to let you know that everything's going great. Hudson had his first trip to the vet last Friday and we were a little worried. He's been with us two weeks and we haven't had any company over so we weren't sure how hed react to the strangers at the vet's office. We put a blanket in my back seat and he rode to the vet really good. He was awesome with the vet and we were so proud of him. We had them run a wellness blood work panel and we'll get the results back Tuesday. Gretchen and Hudson get along great and play play play and run run run outside!!!!!! Diana
