Little Mac

1/2/2012: This little guy was living a hard life - outside in the cold and fed very irregularly. Today when we picked him up it was very, very cold and the wind was blowing like crazy. The poor guy was curled up in a very tight ball in his pen trying to stay warm. He shivered almost half way home trying to get warm. He was also hungry so we stopped at McDonald's and got a burger and chicken nuggets for him. He devoured them.

Little Mac is a small cream horsecoat. He's only 34 lbs, but he is so muscular. - probably from running back and forth in his pen. He has a beautiful face. He is starved for attention and needs to learn some manners. Otherwise, he is well behaved. He loves other dogs although he's much more interested in people.

Little Mac is around 2 years old. He's neutered, has had his eyes fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. He's heatworm negative and on preventive. He's ready for his forever family - a place where he can learn that he will always be warm and safe with a full belly. Are you that family?

1/22/2012: Not so good news about Little Mac - he had a tiny growth on his side that we had removed and tested when he was neutered. Unfortnately, it came back stage II mast cell cancer. Because it was so tiny, we think the removal was successful, but, of course, he will take Benadryl daily to ward of any more growths. Please give this boy a chance at a safe, loving forever home.

Back to adopton pageWe require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

The adoption fee for Little Mac is $200, which helps to offset the cost of his medical care.
