9/30/09: Levi is a beautiful cream brushcoat male, approximately 2-3 years old. He wandered into a good samaritan's yard in bad shape. He has sarcoptic mange that we are treating. He'll be fine in a few weeks.

 

Levi is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He's also crate trained. He's having a little trouble learning that he's shouldn't pee in the house, but now that he's neutered, we're sure he'll learn quickly.

 

10/20/09: Levi is in his new foster home in Decatur GA and he's doing great. He hasn't peed in the house a single time. Yea for Levi!! She writes this morning: I really think Levi will go quick, he is so wonderful. This morning I looked in his room, (the office) and he was not on his bed, the light was off, so it was hard to see. I scanned the whole room, just as I was about to panic, I knew he he was in the house, there he was, in The Man Chair sleeping. I took cute pictures of him sleeping last night. I bought a new dog bed last week, a light red plaid, he is so beautiful against it. Celia

 

1/29/2010: Not good news re. Levi. He has had two episodes of Shar Pei fever that hit him pretty hard. He bounces back, but the fact is that he has the condition and will have it for the remainder of his life. He is on medication, which, too, he will need to have for the rest of his life. If you don't know about this disease, you an read about it on the website of Dr. Jeff Vidt.

Levi is the sweetest boy. He's great with other dogs and loves people, especially kids. He'll make some family very happy.

 

Levi loves his crate. He feels safe there.

 

We require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

 

The adoption fee for Levi is $250, which helps to offset the cost of his medical care.
