Jolie

6/8/09: Jolie is such a sweetheart. She loves everyone she meets. She's had a couple spats with other dogs, but we think it's because she gets so excited. Normally, she enjoys playing with the other dogs. Jolie has no lasting effects from the severe yeast overgrowth she had when we got her, but she does take thyroid medication 2x daily and an allergy pill 1x a day.

Jolie Before

7/26/08: Can you believe an owner would let a dog get in this shape and do nothing? Well, that's what Jolie's owner did. She turned her into the shelter with the worst yeast overgrowth we've ever seen and we've seen a lot! Jolie is a very sweet little girl, but she has a ways to go before she'll be ready for adoption.

Jolie is a very small fawn brushcoat female. She is 18 months old. She is house trained and crate trained. She appears to be okay with other dogs, but she feels so bad that we haven't tried to introduce her to anybody just yet.

8/11/08: Little Jolie is so much better now than when we first got her two weeks ago. Her skin is clearing up and the hair has already started to regrow. She's put on weight and she really feels good. She's a very happy and playful little girl. She loves our other dogs and especially likes playing with Elvis. She is a little food aggressive, probably because she's been really hungry in the past. That's not the case now. She's a real chow hound. She LOVES to eat. If you'd like to see a video of this cute thing, click here. Keep in mind that two weeks ago, Jolie was burning up with fever and so weak she could hardly walk. Amazing, huh?

8/15/08: Jolie has a sponsor!! Yea!! Thank you so much, Rebekah, for providing funds to help with Jolie's medical expenses. We are very grateful!!

8/21/08: Jolie and our Elvis are best buds. They play so hard that sometimes we have to stop them so nobody gets hurt.

1/4/10: Jolie has been with us for a very long time and we just don't understand why. She's a very good dog, still playful, loves other dogs and loves people. She's healthy, except for a very minor allergy for which she takes a pill a day. Won't you give Jo her very own home?

We require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

The adoption fee for Jolie is $150, which helps to offset the cost of her medical care.

If you have trouble filling out our application, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with an application via email.
