4/12/08: When we first picked Davis up from the shelter, he was absolutely terrified and would not move on a leash. He trusted no one. My husband has worked with him for two weeks, and now he walks on the leash well and will tolerate being petted. He still needs a lot of TLC and someone who will be patient with his progress.
Davis is a black horsecoat. He is crate trained, vaccinated and on heartworm preventive. He will be neutered on 4/26.
4/19/08:Davis is really coming around. He loves to play outside with the female dogs and he's learning to like being petted. Davis will need an experienced, patient Pei owner for his new owner. Are you that person?
6/9/08: This beautiful boy is a happy boy. He's still very slow to come around, but when he does, he lets his guard down a little. Because of Davis' previous life and his need for a very patient owner, he will need an experienced Pei person to adopt him.
10/11/08: Davis has really come a long way. He is still cautious around people he doesn't know, but he's in no way aggressive . We have him living with three other females and they're doing fine together.
Davis has been here a long time and needs his own home. If you think that you have the experience and patience to work with Davis, please get in touch with us. Click here to watch Davis on You Tube. Isn't he a pretty boy?

6/6/2010: Davis is still looking for just the right home. He has really come a long way in the last few months; however, that's because he trusts us. His new family would need to gain his trust and that can only come with lots of patience. Check out this video that we just took today. He's having a great time playing with Pepper.
We require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.
The adoption fee for Davis is $200, which helps to offset
the cost of his medical care.
If you have trouble filling out our application, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with an application via email or "snail" mail.
