Cam

12/6/2011: Cam is a big boy; 55.60 pounds and will be a year old the 9th of December. Still has a lot of growing to do! He is a very loving dog, gets along well with most dogs, and loves people. Cam wants to be the head honcho and would do better if there is not another alpha male/female in the household. The family that had Cam said they were giving him up because he was too rambunctious for their 8 month old daughter. He definitely likes to play with my other dogs - after all, he's still a puppy! Cam has all of his shots, has been neutered, and is heartworm negative. Unfortunately, he has a problem with his lower leg. The vet says he is missing the tendon that connects the lower leg to the foot and needs surgery. He was limping when I picked him up and currently has a splint on his leg to keep it straight. Cam's foster mom's vet took X-rays and said he is missing the tendon that connects his lower leg to his foot. He will probably need surgery to correct the defect.

Cam is such a sweet guy and will make someone a wonderful companion. Cam is being fostered in Montgomery AL.

Back to adopton pageWe require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

The adoption fee for Cam is $200, which helps to offset the cost of his medical care.
