Tucker is a young black male, but unfortunately he has hardly any hair at the moment. He has the mange, but we are treating it and he's much better now than when he first arrived.

Tucker is the sweetest boy you'll ever be around. He loves everybody. Initially when he came, he was terrified of people. Every time I bent down to pet him, he would flatten himself out on the floor. He's much better now and his personality is really coming out.

Tucker may be a mix because his ears are too large for a purebred and he has some white hairs on his chest. He definitely has the pei qualities, though. He WILL NOT go outside when it's raining and he's not real happy about having to get a bath.

UPDATE 12/19/05: Tucker will be going to his new home in Kingsport TN as soon as he has a second negative skin scrape (12/31/05).

1/2/05: NEGATIVE SKIN SCRAPE. YEA!! Tucker is in his new home in Kingsport. I think he fell immediately in love with his new playmate, Prissy, a great dane mix.

Thanks, Tim and Carrie, for giving Tucker a second shot at a wonderful life. I know he'll be very happy.

Tucker and Prissy - best buds

10/6/06:

Cindy,  Tucker is doing great.  He has gotten most of his hair back and has bonded well to our family and home.  He and Prissy do well together.  The only lingering signs of his difficult past that I notice are a few bald spots and that he is a bit jumpy at times - loud noises or if someone brushes his side with thier foot (he jumps straight up like the cat in old cartoons that ends up hanging by its claws from the ceiling).  He is very loving, a bit nosey, and still loves his belly rubbed.  I'll try to send current pictures - I'll have to get my son to help.  Thanks.  Tim
