TILLY

Tilly (Matilda) is a black horsecoat Shar Pei. She was confiscated by animal control because she was living chained in a back yard. She was filthy and had terribly dirty and infected ears. She needed entropion and cherry eye surgery and heartworm treatment. Tilly has had the surgery she needed and she is undergoing heartworm treatment now. She has had all her vaccinations and has been spayed.

Tilly loves to be around people and seems to get along with most other dogs. She loves to be petted and hugged. Tilly is learning to sit and she already walks well on a leash. She loves to play in the ivy and slide down the hill on her back. She loves to run in our fenced yard. Tilly needs someone to teach her how to play with toys and chew on bones. I guess she didn't have any of those things in her previous life.

Tilly is crate trained, but doesn't like being in it during a storm. We think she must have been left out during storms and that's why she afraid of them. She also doesn't like car or truck engines, but she will gladly get in to take a ride if the engine is off.

Tilly will be ready for adoption on June 1. She will make someone a wonderful companion. She just wants someone to love her. She is very easy to love and we will miss her greatly when she goes to her forever home. Will it be yours?

We are posting Tilly for Georgia Shar Pei Rescue who will be responsible for reviewing applications and deciding on placement.

6/25/07: Well, this sweet girl is going to stay with her foster dad and mom. Tim and Jane just couldn't part with her after teaching her to trust, love and play. Tilly has a great new home!!
