Suki left this morning (1/22/05) for Florida and her new home. Mandy, George and Mickey were very happy with Suki, and Suki and Mickey seemed to get along great. Let's hope they don't tire of each other on the long trip home.

Thanks, Mandy, for giving Suki a wonderful home. She certainly deserves it.

Mandy, Suki and Mickey

UPDATE 8/15/05: Suki is doing great.  She is quite the character.  Loves attention but only from me.  She is very funny.  Ignores other people or dogs.

Suki and her playmates. These girls are soulmates.

Is this not the sweetest picture? Suki loves Mandy so much.

                              What a great shot!

7/25/08: Cindy,I wanted to give you an update on Suki.  She has been seeing my vet since the beginning of the year with vulvar swelling.  She has been on antibiotics, NSAIDS and had a biopsy.  Nothing seemed to make it improve.  I started taking her to the veterinary specialists for the past month or so.  First needle biopsy was negative.  Next they did a further biopsy and it came back as a MAST cell tumor.  The follow up ultrasound shows an enlarged lymph node.  The option of surgical removal would be removal of the entire vulva, part of the vagina and possible reconstruction of the urethra with a good possibility of problems ie poor quality of life and further treatment for the node and possible mets.  So after further testing and consultation, Suki has started on chemo.  The great news is she is happy and basically healthy.  We will be going for weekly chemo and just keeping a close eye on her.  Only time will tell.  But she is still the Queen of the house.  Everyone knows who’s the boss. Mandy
