SCOOTER

How cute is this little fella? Scooter is a 6 month old neutered male. He is current on vaccinations and on heartworm preventive. Scooter is crate trained and house trained. He's a real love bug. He's good with kids and with other dogs. He is such a fun dog and learns quickly and he is very eager to please. He likes to sit in your lap and give kisses.

This poor baby was being abused as a stray. A good samaritan witnessed him being punched in the face, and decided to do what she could to help. That's how he came to be in rescue.

Scooter is being treated for demodex and is responding very nicely; hair is regrowing quickly.

7/16/07: Well, this cute guy sure didn't take long to find a new home. Scooter is thoroughly enjoying all the love and attention he's getting in his new home in Lawrenceburg TN with Steve, Wendy, Alex and Trey - and he might even be trying to make friends with the cat that lives there. We're hoping that happens anyway. This family is as lucky to have Scooter in their lives as he is to have them. It's a match made in heaven.

7/20/07: Hello Cindy,
Just thought you might like to know that scooter seems to be doing just fine. Still not sure on the cat thing yet. He did come back into the house but has kept his distance from Scooter. I am keeping him away and just going to let the two of them get used to each other slowly, I'll keep you informed on how that goes. I can tell you that everyone loves him and he is getting spoiled rotten already. Wendy went and got him his food and all the rest of what we needed. I can say this there was no walking away at dinner time , he scarfed it right down. He was in with me for quite a while and when I took him out he went pee no problem. Trey is now petting him all the time and even feel asleep hugging him on the living room floor. He now thinks Scooter is his dog. So all I can say for now is so far so good. Thank you ever so much.Oh yeah, I took him for a walk in my chair twice today ad he walked right next to me maybe two feet out perfectly, no pulling or anything and yes he likes water too. Not swimming yet but it was funny he stuck his head under water by the stairs of the pool. Don't think it will take him long to jump on in. And yeah, even my wife said just now while we were on our last walk for the night that she felt he was meant to be with us. Steve

8/29/07: Scooter is doing well in his new home. He's still being treated for demodex, but hopefully he'll be finally rid of that real soon. Scooter loves going for walks and playing with the neighborhood kids. We think Scooter is having a good life!
