Have you ever seen a more gorgeous girl? Sasha is a two year old black female brushcoat that was turned in to the shelter because the wife didn't like her. Maybe the wife should have been turned in instead! Sasha has obviously been mistreated because she is very timid until she's certain that she's in a safe place. It took her about 48 hours at our house to know that we would never hit or hurt her. Now she's jumping around, licking and acting like a happy girl. She's still a little afraid when she hears loud noises and sudden movements, but hopefully with time, that will change, too. Sasha is good with other dogs and with kids, but again sudden movements or loud noises startle her. Sasha will see the vet this afternoon (6/27/06). Hopefully, she'll be heartworm negative so she can be spayed in a few days. SASHA ADOPTED!!
This girl sure didn't stay in rescue long. Sasha is in her new home with Kathryn, David and Bailey. She is one lucky little girl!
Whew! That playing sure does make me tired.
Isn't she a beautiful girl? 7/24/08: Hey Cindy, I don't know how long it has been since we checked in so I figured that it would be time. I have been watching the site and I know that you have had a very busy year, to say the least. Sasha just had her check up today. She is in good health, but needs another tuck on her left eye. I am going to have her teeth cleaned while she is under. Bailey was given the seal of good health at his visit last month, and is a serious BEDHOG! He has been sleeping with us for about a year now, and must have magic powers that allow him to bunch all of the blanket under his body. We wake up with sheets only, if we are lucky. Sasha likes to sleep right in the doorway. She can still see us, and has a good view down both hallways there. She is very protective of us. We love our peibies! Thank you so much for making our happiness possible. I will let you know how the tuck goes. I don't go back to school until the 6th, so I will be able to be here with her all day just in case. |
