SARAH

Oh, my goodness! This little girl is so happy to be out of the pound she can hardly stand it. Sarah is a beautiful fawn brushcoat female. She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations and on heartworm preventive. She is being treated for Ehrlichia (a tick borne ailment) but should recover nicely. You'd never know there's anything wrong with her.

Sarah loves other dogs and people. She's crated trained and house trained. What more could you ask for from a loving family member?

4/19/07: Sarah has finished her treatment and is ready for her new home. If you think Sarah would be right for your home, let us know.

7/8/07: This sweet girl is finally in her forever home with Michael and Angela and Sherlock (a lab mix) and Blue (a dapple miniature dachshund). It was love at first sight for Michael, Angela and Blue. Not sure about Sherlock. He came on pretty strong and Sarah was a little irritated with him. With time, they'll be fine. Sarah and Blue were playing the 'chase me around the kitchen table' game within minutes of meeting each other. This is a great home for Sarah. She has a huge fenced yard where she can play until her heart is content.

7/9/07: Oh my god! She is AWESOME! We really love her and the boys enjoy the new sister. Sherlock is fine now that the initial shock is over. Thank you so much for driving all the way down here, helping us get the girl we have been looking for and all that you do for the lonely and mistreated Shar Peis of this world, you are awesome too! Talk to you again soon. Michael

7/20/07: Just an update! Sarah is doing great. She is starting to learn our sleeping schedule so she does not keep us up all night and she has become protective of the house already. She and Sherlock are now best friends, they play and wrestle the day away. She is also becoming less food aggressive and even shares her toys ( her and Sherlock even play tug of war with her newest toy). Thanks again Michael

8/13/07: Hey Cindy! Just thought I would let you know that all is still well with Sarah and the boys, I have new pictures but haven’t been able to download them yet but I will send new ones soon (if my husband hasn’t already) anyway, I just thought I would tell you something funny with Sarah (actually 2 things) 1 – her kennel has just a pull down/zip door on it……that’s mesh….and she has figured out that she can still go through it to get in if its not zipped up….but she hasn’t quite grasp that she can come right back out! Its comical! 2 – She loves to watch TV. We don’t watch much so neither does she but she will watch a movie with us and totally be into everything that is going on……she’s so funny! The boys are usually crashed out and she’s watching tv! Anyway, I hope that all is well with you and the rest of your peibies!!!! Talk to you soon! Angie

UPDATE 9/19/07: Sweet as always! She’s such a loveable little girl……how someone could ever get rid of her, I don’t know. Aside from learning not to walk on our feet and on hers (heehee) her and the boys are doing great. Since Sarah stays inside during the day and the temperatures got so hot down here, we started leaving all 3 of them inside……and they have a blast. We have only had to replace the screen on the entertainment center door twice but I think that’s pretty good for 3 dogs inside! Aside from that, they are all great. I don’t think Sherlock (the lab) would know what to do not having someone his size to play with now. Angie
