Nola came to us from a shelter in KY. She is a beautiful chocolate brushcoat with a huge meatmouth. Unfortunately, Nola isn't very healthy. She has heartworms and a fatty tumor that needs to be removed. But we're sure as soon as we get her straightened out, she will make a wonderful pet. She's very affectionate and loves other dogs. She is crate trained and house trained.

UPDATE 9/7/03: Shelia, Duchess' mom, saw Nola's picture and it was love at first sight. Nola will be going to live with Shelia and Duchess as soon as she's been treated for heartworms, had the tumor removed and has been spayed.

UPDATE: Shelia and Duchess drove down to pick up Nola. Duchess was a little leery at first, but we think she will come around.

UPDATE 11/7/03: Just got this note from Shelia.

It's working!
Duchess, Nola and I are doing great. We've been busy getting ready for winter. I'm working hard at trying to get the dogs used to the Guinea Hens in the yard. Duchess and Nola learned to tolerate the chickens and ducks, but we are having trouble with the guineas!

The only thing they disagree about is who gets to sleep where in the bed at night. I, of course, get last choice and sleep on the far edge!
Shelia

P.S. The girls send you hugs and kisses. Watch out, Nola's kisses are sweet but very WET!
