| Rita (now Mia) is a very sweet girl who came to us from the Fulton County Shelter in Atlanta GA. She is heartworm positive, needs entropion and needs spaying and vaccinating. We have started the heartworm treatment; when that is finished in 6 weeks, we will repair her eyes and spay her. Rita is being sponsored by Allyson Austin of NC. Allyson made it possible for us to get Rita out of the shelter and into rescue. We couldn't have done it financially without her help. The best part is that after Rita is healthy, Allyson wants to adopt Rita! So that will happen if Rita and Nahla (her pei girl) get along. We're sure they will. UPDATE 9/12/04: Allyson met Rita today and it was love at first sight! Wouldn't you agree?
Nahla and Mia - very pretty girls! 11/27/06:We went to Charleston and stayed at Folly Beach about a month ago. Mia loves to walk on the beach as long as her feet son't get wet. She is so prissy! She is doing well. Still really nervous. But, we never know what kind of trama they have been through before they come to live with us! I tell her every day that it is a good thing that she lives in a quiet house or she would be completely grey by now. |
