Mai Ling is a tiny little girl - only about 22 lbs. - and she is the sweetest thing you've ever seen. Her color is one I've never seen before. She looks like she's a light chocolate with a little lilac thrown in. She is beautiful. Mai Ling was picked up as a stray and was not claimed at the pound. Mai Ling is house trained, crate trained, heartworm negative and on preventive, vaccinated and spayed. She is approximately one year old. Mai Ling gets along with all other dogs and loves people. We just got her today (1/22/06), so we will write more about her personality after a few days.
2/5/06: Mai Ling (now Baby) is in her new home on Johns Island, SC. She and her new friend, Jake, are getting along great. And Baby is even nice to the cats that live there. Thanks, Rhonda, for giving this sweet girl a second chance at the good life!

What did you say? UPDATE 6/14/06: Baby looks great! She's really filled out and is a beautiful girl. Thanks, Rhonda, for taking such good care of this sweet girl.

8/21/07: Baby is doing good. She HATES,HATES getting a bath, but we get it done b/c she is a dirty little booger. Haven't had any skin issues except for some stinky anal glands ( having them "done" tomorrow ) and dirty ears, but other than that...no problems for the wild child! She still thinks the outside cats are her personal play toys, but they are smart enough to stay on the other side of the fence. They do enjoy staring her down and giving her this look as if to say, " I am a cat and superior to a smelly creature such as you." Needless to say, she is a pistol. Still loves to jump on the back door and then run when you open it. Then the minute you close the door the process starts all over. I think she enjoys teasing ME! She does come inside when it is hot out and she lies in front of the fan and crashes out. Dumb she is not! Rhonda 9/6/07: just wanted you to know my "little girl" is no longer little. She weighs 43 lbs! The first time I took her to the vet she was 26 lbs!! The thing is, she is 100% muscle. There is not a bit of fat on her and she is VERY strong. Just thought you would like to know about my "big girl." Needless to say, I am putting her on a diet so she doesn't become a porky pig.
