| JACKSON

Jax is a very good natured boy. He loves everybody and gets along with other dogs very well. He loves to play. Jax had very severe entropion that affected his sight, but since his surgery, he's seeing much better.
Jax is a young sable horsecoat male, neutered, current on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention.

UPDATE 12/12/05: Jax is being fostered by a former adopter and everything is going greaet. Jax loves Puddles, Bryan's other pei, and I think the feeling is mutual. Below is Bryan's account of the first night:
We all slept sound last night. In fact, they had played so hard yesterday that they both had completely passed out even before I got to bed. Jax woke up this morning and immediately wanted to start playing with me. I guess a good night's sleep did him good. I went out and bought him a couple of toys. He's been trying very hard to chew the squeaker out of one of them. Those two kept me in stitches last night. Puddles is so funny with him. When he lays down Puddles will stick out her chest and run right up on him, then smack him with her paw, then she will prance around and throw her butt right in his face. I think she's really trying to show him who is boss around there. I can tell I'm going to have my hands full with him, but that is a good thing. As soon as he gets pretty well acclimated to his new surroundings I will start working with him.
Jax will be adopted by Bryan and Puddles if he's a good boy and everything works out. Yea for Jax!
UPDATE 12/28/05 Jax has a permanent home! Bryan and Puddles agree that Jax needs to stay with them. They've become best pals and playmates. Puddles is happy to have company while Bryan is working and Jax is happy to have Puddles to play with during the day.

Jax and Puddles
10/2/06: Jackson is doing great. The training has really helped him quite a bit. He’s still a handful though. I am having to keep him leashed when he’s outside so that I can get control of him when I need to. He will only listen to me when I have him leashed. The trainer has told me that he is "reinforcement smart" which means as long as he knows that I can get control of him he will listen, but when he realizes that I do not, he does whatever he wants. My trainer was very correct on this. He’s a perfect angel as long as the leash is on. He’s not chewing so much anymore, but he still backslides every so often. Since he has finally shed his puppy coat, he has really turned into a very beautiful boy. His sable coat is gorgeous-he looks like he’s wearing a little tuxedo. He is still a little rough on Puddles, but I’m trying to curb that.

Jackson and Puddles - a beautiful pair, don't you think? |
