10/2/01 This is Comet. He is a beautiful red fawn brushcoat that I picked up from a shelter in Georgia today. He has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has not been checked for heartworms yet. We will do that on Tuesday, 10/9. If he's negative, he will be available for adoption real soon. If he's positive, it will be at least 6 weeks.

He has the best personality - very laid back and sweet. He even let me clean his ears after only a hour of being here. But he has a terrible ear infection that we began treating as soon as we got home. His coat is beautiful and his eyes look good.

He will make some family very happy when he comes into their lives.

UPDATE 10/9/01: Comet does NOT have heartworms! And his ears are much better. He was great at the vet - even when his nails were trimmed. He's such a good boy and he's ready to go to that special home that will give him the love he deserves.

UPDATE 11/4/01: Comet is scheduled to go to his new home on Sunday, 11/18. I think Lisa and Comet will get along great and Lisa will give him the loving home he deserves.

UPDATE 12/27/01: Comet went to his new home on November 18, and is doing very well. Lisa loves him very much - so much that he gets to go to work with her. What a treat!

UPDATE 5/4/04: Comet crossed over Rainbow Bridge today. Lisa is devastated by his death and will miss him very, very much.
