Buddy came to us from the Fulton County GA Animal Services. He is a big black brushcoat and has a very friendly disposition. He loves everybody and he's a big goof ball! Buddy is about 65 lbs and large for a pei. He has a huge head with big ole mushy lips. Even though Buddy is so big, he is so very gentle when around children. It is amazing to watch him take a treat from our 4 year old granddaughter.

Buddy is neutered, on heartworm prevention and current on vaccinations. He's also crate trained and house trained.

Buddy has obviously lived inside with a family before. He knows basic commands and he loves to ride in a car. He wants to be with his person most of all. Sometimes he barks when he doesn't know where his person is. A touch of separation anxiety - maybe so, but he does fine once he settles into a routine.. Buddy is not destructive in the house. Actually, he loves to just sleep on the couch when I'm at the computer.

Buddy gets along well with female dogs and pretty much ignores male dogs. We have walked him with our Rocky without incident.

10/2/05 Buddy is in his new home in Maryville IL. Yea, Buddy! Lisa and Brett fell in love the minute they laid eyes on him. Their dog, Lola, likes Buddy, too, but she can't quite figure out why he won't play with her yet. Buddy needs a little time to adjust to his new family and surroundings. We're sure that will happen quickly.

UPDATE 4/3/06:
Hi Cindy! Just wanted to let you know that Buddy has really turned the corner in regards to his skn issues. He has been off his steroid for a month, and he is doing great! The steroid made him really crabby, but the last month, we have been able to enjoy the TRUE Buddy. Hopefully, we'll just have to administer the steroid if he has another breakout. The Vet is puzzled because we're not sure what sent his skin issues into remission, but who cares, as long as he's well!! I attached a picture of Buddy and Lola playing, as well as pics of Lola grooming Buddy, her favorite thing to do!

Love,
Lisa and family
