BUBBA

Look at this gorgeous face! Bubba is absolutely beautiful and he has the most wonderful temperament. Now, you're probably saying she says that about all her rescue dogs. Not true.

Bubba just came into rescue yesterday so he hasn't seen the good doctor yet, but will tomorrow (7/13/05). He will be heartworm checked, updated on vaccinations and will get medication for the skin problem he has. He will have entropion surgery at the same time he is neutered.

Bubba is 5 years old and has a strawberry blonde coat with red tips. The breed standard says that's a Five Point Red Dilute.

If Bubba checks negative for heartworm (and we're praying that he does), he will be ready for adoption in a couple weeks. If he tests positive (and we're praying that he doesn't), it will be two months before he's ready for adoption.

Bubba is good with kids and other dogs. And he even likes cats. Well, he ignores them.

UPDATE 7/14/05:BUBBA IS HEARTWORM NEGATIVE!! He will be neutered and have his eyes fixed in a couple weeks and will be ready for a new home soon after that.

UPDATE 8/18/05: We knew this beautiful boy wouldn't be with us long! Bubba left this morning with his new mom, Jennifer, driving back to Pennsylvania. I think it was love at first sight! Bubba will be spoiled rotten!! Thanks, Jennifer, for taking Bubba into your home.

UPDATE 12?19/05: I'm sorry it's been so long since i've written.
Bubba is just fine, wonderful in fact...in the months since I've adopted Bubba he's really settled in here, like he's been a part of the family forever...he eats like a horse, lol, and couldn't be healthier...I put him on the missing link dietary supplement, it worked miracles on my Humphrey, and it's been really good for him, his coat is fabulous (although we went through a wicked shed just as winter set in)...he's still a bundle of energy and loves his walks, more so now that there's snow on the ground...you should see him hop around in the deep snow, 6" or more and he's like a snow bunny i say...his new favorite treat is fortune cookies...he likes to sleep on the corner of my bed at night and plays with my dad likes he's a big chew toy...I think bubba would like to have a dog of his own.
