ANGUS

Look at this pretty boy! Angus is a 4 year old fawn male brushcoat. He's very friendly and playful with people and. he loves playing with other dogs. Unfortunately, Angus has heartworm disease, so he will begin treatment in the next week or so. Angus will be available for adoption around the middle of August.

Check back often to see how Angus is doing.

10/31/06: Angus came through his treatment with flying colors and is feeling great. He's such a good boy and he deserves a good home!

11/26/06: Angus is in his new home in Kingsport TN. Thank you Matt and Hannah for giving this sweet boy a second chance at the good life. We know Angus will be very happy with you.

UPDATE 11/27/06:Hey Cindy!

Angus has been great and we've loved having him! The only issue that we've had is that a few times I've squatted down and was at eye level with him and he growled (not all the time, just about two times, randomly). The last time he did it I disciplined him and he hasn't done it since. I thought maybe it was a dominance issue, or just that he just needs a little space. Unless you think that this is an issue, it hasn't bothered us. He's done really well other than that. He only tried to mark the house once, and hasn't tried since then (we let him have at it in the back yard) He loves being outside and is doing really well on the leash. He's so curious, it's really cute. We haven't introduced him to Prissy or Tucker yet because we want him to be comfortable with us and our house, but every time he hears a dog bark he whines, so I think he is a little lonely without all of his dog buddies. He already has a favorite pillow and a place to sleep. We did get him a crate and it is working out great. The only time he has barked is when he saw a cat on our front porch, and it seemed to be a friendly bark. He's definItely a friendly dog. Both Matt and I love him so much! I think it is going to be a perfect fit! Thanks again for getting our little family together!
 Thanks!

11/30/06:Hey Cindy! Angus is doing really good! He is getting much more comfortable and playful. We took him to my Dad's house last night and he did great with Tucker and Prissy. He didn't act very interested in them, more in the house and the people. He loves being outside. I've been taking him on 3 mile walks this week. He's done so well. I thought that he would have been tired afterwards, but he's had just as much energy after the walks as before. I haven't taken him running yet because I want to make sure he's used to the route. He gets really excited when Matt comes home from work too. It's fun to watch how is relaxing. We will keep you updated!
