MAGGIE

(formerly AMBER)

6/7/07: This very pretty apricot dilute female was found wandering around a manufacturing plant in Alabama. She was there for several days. The people who worked there were feeding her and finally were able to gain her trust enough to get her into the building. We had been in contact with them and were trying to help them get this girl off the streets. Finally animal control was called and when they picked her up, we contacted the shelter and told them we would take her. We are calling her Amber because of her beautiful eye color.

Amber looks much bigger in this picture than she actually is. She's actually a small girl and very, very sweet and loving. And she gets along well with other dogs, both male and female.

Amber has been spayed, is current on vaccinations and on heartworm preventive, so she's ready for a new home where she will be loved and safe - never to roam the streets again.

Doesn't she look pretty in her pink collar?

6/19/07: Amber has a new home! She will be living with Izzy and Cody, and, of course, Trish and Arthur. Trish got Amber out of the shelter for me and wanted to foster her. Well, we all know what happened. She fell in love and the rest is history.

UPDATE 10/9/07: Izzy is doing great and is adorable as always.  Izzy really doesn't bark at anyone, except my brother, anymore like she use to.  She is a lot more trusting than when I first got her.  I forgot to tell you that we changed Amber's name to Maggie because my sister had a dog that past away two years ago named Amber.  So Maggie is doing good also.  She's a handful and never still for a moment.  She's real sweet but she doesn't do a thing I tell her to do.  She only obeys Arthur.  She adores him and just likes to pinch me with her front teeth.  I'm slowly breaking her of that habit.  She gets along great with Cody and they are always playing.  Izzy just watches them like they are crazy.  Izzy pretty much ignores her but I think she has accepted her. Trish
