This girl is drop dead gorgeous! Nadia is a fawn horsecoat with wrinkles from head to toe. And she has a wonderful personality. She gets along with other dogs very well. Nadia is house trained, vaccinated, on heartworm prevention and will be spayed within the week. Nadia just came today (4/20/06). We will add more about her in a few days.
UPDATE 4/26/06 Sometimes things just don't work out. In just 4 days Nadia snapped at two children and attacked our Ginger and hurt her very badly. For this reason, we made the decision to humanely euthanize her. Nadia was confiscated from a woman in GA who had 30 cats and 20 dogs - 4 of them being Shar Pei. The other 3 were put down at the shelter because they were so aggressive. There were dead dogs and cats in her yard and most of the animals were starved. This was not the case with Nadia. She was very healthy and a beautiful girl. The shelter people thought Nadia was not as badly damaged as the other 3, but she, too, turned out to be very unstable. This was not her fault. Our one hope is that the woman who did this to these animals will be prosecuted to the limit This is the part of rescue that I hate. It broke my heart to have to put her down.. |
