CHARLIE BROWN

4/15/08: This poor fella is Charlie Brown. He was found at a private regional airport called Charlie Brown Field near Atlanta. Evidently someone dumped Charlie and he found his way in to an airplane for shelter. No one knows how long Charlie was in the plane as it had not been flown for quite some time.

Charlie is being treated for a severe case of demodectic mange and malnourishment. After a few good meals, Charlie has turned into a little dynamo. He and Herbie (featured on the adoption page also) have become fast friends and race around the yard and around and around our kitchen island and table.

As you can see, Charlie is a Shar Pei mix. He's probably part Chocolate Lab and about 5 months old. But how could we not take him? He would have been euthanized before he had a chance of living a good life if he had been turned into a shelter.

Charlie is great with people and loves other dogs. He will be a wonderful addition to your family when he's healthy. Charlie is crate trained and almost house trained.

Check back often for updated pictures of Charlie Brown so you can watch him heal.

5/8/08: Look at this guy. Can you believe how much better he looks and feels. Jane and Tim have done a great job with him. Way to go, Charlie Brown.  This boy loves to play.

This boy will do anything for a treat! Isn't he beautiful? We realize he doesn't have much Pei in his genes, but he's still a sweetheart and we want to find a good home for him.

We require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

The adoption fee for Charlie Brown is $200, which helps to offset the cost of his medical care.

If you have trouble filling out our application, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with an application via email or "snail" mail.
